Privacy Policy

What we collect

Information you provide: your email (for sign-in), the name/email Apple shares if you use Sign in with Apple, your profile (display name, username, optional bio and location), your shipping details (name, phone, and address) if you add them, seller contact info if you open a barn, and content you create (bids, chat messages, auction listings, and, for sellers, live video and audio you broadcast). Collected automatically: your device push token (only if you enable notifications) and basic diagnostic/crash data.

Camera & microphone

We access your camera and microphone only when you, as a seller, choose to start a live broadcast. We do not access them otherwise. Live video is transmitted to viewers through our streaming provider.

How we use information

To operate the app (authenticate you, show auctions, place and sync bids, deliver chat and live video), to send notifications you opt into, to maintain safety and moderate content, and to diagnose and improve the app. When you win an item, we share your email and shipping details with that seller only, so they can invoice and ship it to you. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with vendors that process data on our behalf: Supabase (authentication, database, realtime), Mux (live video), and Expo (push notifications). They are permitted to use the data only to provide their services.

Your choices

Turn notifications on/off in iOS Settings. Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing contact@jerrysbidlive.com; deleting your account removes your profile, bids, chat, and push tokens, subject to limited retention required by law. If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email," we only ever receive the relay address.

Safety & user content

Auctions include live video and public chat. You can report content and block users in the app. We review reports and remove violating content and users, generally within 24 hours.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security & retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to run the service or as required by law, and use industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
